Now a centre of scientific excellence, but in the past, wizards, witches and other strange goings on happened here. But this is still Cambridge! Come with me and discover the strange otherworld Cambridge, a place that both sorcery and science call home
Over the years I have developed a walking tour for visitors who are interested in the paranormal and metaphysics debates and curiosities of Cambridge. You will be fascinated by the many facets of this world that defy explanation. Join me on this 60 minute tour and learn about religious men, scientists, alchemists, wizards and witches in the backdrop of this beautiful medieval town. We will start at Trinity College with the Ghost Club, and end at the Cavendish Laboratories with Maxwell’s Demon!
Timing: 7.30pm in front of Trinity College.
A really interested tour from a qualified green badge guide. I didn’t know what to expect when I took the tour, but it looks not just at ghosts but at the paranormal and some of the people in Cambridge behind it. From the most evil man who ever lived through to university societies and Ley lines, Leigh tells a fascinating story of how the paranormal affects Cambridge. Leigh is really knowledgeable and very entertaining at the same time. Would reccommend.
This is a fantastic tour! It brings a side of Cambridge to life that you’ve probably never seen before. Leigh is a born storyteller and had us hanging on every word.
Whether you’re a confirmed believer, have things you’ve experienced you can’t explain, or you’re just intrigued, this tour is for you.
Highly recommended!
A high point in my stay at Cambridge was the ghost tour with the incredibly knowledgeable Leigh Watson who was clearly very passionate about her subject and home city. More than our own living voices echoed around the stones and cobbles that night as she summoned the past out of that cold autumn evening.
A brilliant unforgettable experience.
